It's a Great Week to Network if You are in Advertising & Digital Media
If you are looking to make a career change or advance your career in advertising and/or digital media, this week happens to be NYC's famous Advertising Week. Starting today through Friday, there are a wealth of events scattered all over Manhattan ranging from "Is Paid Advertising in Social Media Dead?" to "Agency Demand Platforms." Events are being put on by the IAB, OMMA (MediaPost), AAAAs,ContextWeb, and a wealth of other advertising groups.
Do not be shy... get out and network. You never know who you are going to run into at these events and everyone is there to meet other people. The smaller focused events tend to have a higher concentration of likemindedpeople while the mainstage events attract a variety. Headhunters are also out enmass, so do not forget to introduce yourselves.
